‘Working as One on the Wild Atlantic Way’
The Tourism Unit, Kerry County Council in association with the Destination Kerry Tourism Forum welcomes 140 delegates to the National Tourism Conference which was held in the Listowel Arms Hotel on the 5th & 6th September 2017.  The Minister for State at the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport, Mr. Brendan Griffin, officially opened the event.
The Conference focused on the Local Government role in tourism and community development in partnership with other state agencies and local development companies.  It aimed to build on the Wild Atlantic Way development programme and strengthen even further, the links and networks that have been created to maximise the regional benefits of the route.  The challenges, best practice, success stories to date and the following key topics were examined and discussed:
– Tourism Infrastructure
– Culture, Environment & Sustainable Development
– Promoting Destinations & Empowering Communities.
