An Ghaeilge

Oifig na Gaeilge

Is cuid lárnach d’ár oidhreacht náisiúnta í an Ghaeilge, nasc beo í lenár stair agus gné fé leith d’ár dtionscal rathúil turasóireachta. Tá Oifig na Gaeilge tiomanta chun tacú le foireann na Comhairle a cuid seirbhísí a chur ar fáil trí Ghaolainn do gach éinne, mar aon leis an nGaolainn a chosaint agus a chur chun cinn mar theanga phobail na Gaeltachta. Tapóimid an deis chun ár dteanga náisiúnta a úsáid – Beatha teangan í a labhairt!
Irish is a central part of our national heritage, a vital link to our past and a unique element of diversity to our thriving tourist industry. Oifig na Gaeilge is committed to supporting Council staff in providing services through Irish for all, as well as protecting and promoting Irish as the community language of the Gaeltacht. Let’s take the opportunity and use our national language when we can – Beatha teangan í a labhairt!
Léiríonn Scéimeanna Gaeilge Chomhairle Contae Chiarraí an tslí go dtógaimid ar ár gcuid seirbhísí ó bhliain go bliain chun a chinntiú go gcuirtear seirbhís poiblí níos fearr ar fáil trí Ghaolainn. Tá dualgas reachtúil ar gach rannóg sa Chomhairle na Scéimeanna Gaeilge agus na rialacháin éagsúla in Acht na dTeangacha Oifigiúla 2003 a chur i gcrích.
Kerry County Council’s Scéimeanna Gaeilge outline the way we build on our services, year on year to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public service through Irish. All sections of Kerry County Council have a statutory duty to implement our Scéimeanna Gaeilge and the various regulations of the Official Languages Act, 2003.
I dteannta sin, is cuspóir éigeantach de Phlean Forbartha an Chontae an Ghaolainn a chosaint agus a chur chun cinn sa Ghaeltacht de réir Alt 10(2)(m) den Acht um Phleanáil agus Forbairt (leasú), 2010.
Also, the protection of Irish in the Gaeltacht is a mandatory objective of our development plan in accordance with Section 10(2)(m) of the Planning and Development (Amendment) Act, 2010.
